Happy Halloween!!!!
So it is Bobby's first Halloween and of course I have to work! But that's okay because I have been putting him in outfits all week. He is going to Mimi's tonight and hopefully see some Trick or Treaters. He just got a nice Johnny jump up and walker from a friend at work that I can't wait to put him in.

Yay! Halloween is coming!
Life has been pretty hectic, but Bobby has been having the time of his life growing big and strong. He went to the pediatrician today and weighs 15 pounds (97 percentile), his head and length are in the 75th percentile. He also got 4 shots and one oral vaccine : ( He says that they hurted his feelings. Dr Conley says he is doing everything he's supposed to. Lifting his head when he is on his belly, grasping his hands together and putting them in his mouth, smiling, and cooing. It doesn't seem like a big deal but he has had those mastered for sometime now! Bobby also saw a nice man named Dr Cerniglia who said that Bobby has special kidneys. The left kidney has an extra tube (not a big deal he said). His right kidney is dilated so Bobby has to have dye put in his bladder to see if it can hold urine where it is supposed to be or if the dye will move up to the kidneys ( that's called reflux) If Bobby has reflux he will have to have a low dose of antibiotics until the problem is resolved because when urine goes back into the kidneys there is a chance of infection. He may have to be on antibiotics for years which is very common with reflux. This problem is the most common male congenital problem known. If the dye test shows it is not reflux then we will move on to a kidney xray to see if their is a different problem of which the Dr. does not know yet. Anyhow Bobby seems to be doing great and happy life. Sorry the computer is not letting me load pictures!

The many faces of Bobby
It has been couple of busy days filled with only daily life but my butt is tired. I've been lucky that work has been good (knock on wood). Having a baby is good because your so busy with the baby you don't go out too much and get too crazy. On the other hand, they cost a bit because of all of their necessities. Bobby was a little grumpus yesterday for some reason but he loved his Hungry hungry caterpillar outfit.

Down by the fire. . . .
Friday night was sleep over night at Mimi's. The verdict is in and he did very well. Sucked down lots of bottles and slept real good. His auntie Leslie watched him that morning while he played with his monkey toy and kept warm next to his first fire. He loved staring at it for quite a while. Saturday was really nice. I got to take a nap before some delicious lamb diner and then took another nap with Bobby.

Ridem' Sammy!
Bobby was so nice to his mommy by sleeping through the night again! Then he ate and slept again for 4 hours. It was just what I needed. Then Jay and Bobby spent some fun time together so I could get stuff done. Tonight will be his first time over Mimi's house for a sleep over, so he is very excited about that. I sure am gonna miss the little fella. That's him riding' Sammy since he isn't big enough to ride Wilson yet.

Sleep. . pisha! Sleep is for the weak!
So even though Bobby slept a good part of the afternoon away, I decided that instead of sleeping myself, maybe I should get some chores done instead. I worked a 12 hr shift last night and slept 2 hrs when I got home. I just missed Bobby a lot so I thought I might spend time with him while I still could. This is just the beginning of the beginning and I've got a long way to go. Ugho, he's cryin again. Gotta go!

Back to reality
Well guys. It's about to be my second day back at work, and it wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't got such a bad cold. Jay was really good about taking care of the baby when I was at work. Of course, me being sick I nearly went nuts thinking 'is he sick!' I am pretty sure I broke down in tears when his nose and eyes were runny. He looks great though. We broke into his 3-6 month clothes which is a whole new world of fun. I definitely love being a mother! P. S. Happy Birthday Cameron!

Update.
So we had a really nice time eatn grape leave rolls and french stew with Jay's grandparents and Bobby's Mimi and everybody. It was fun spending time with Tristan while his car was getting worked on. We went shopping and Tristan did his super trooper impression with a gumball machine mustache. Ah good times.
So much to do, so little time!
Lots of people are in town which means lots of fun things to do with them. Yesterday morning Andi and her brother Ryan (Jay's cousins) came over for a nice breakfast. Ryan got to see his second cousin for the first time. Later that day we all got to go to Mimi's (Jay's mom) house for some diner and visiting. Bobby got to ride in Mimi's very special swing and he was a very good boy the whole night.

Yay! Guess who's here?!
I wanna swing too. . . .
Yesterday was our first time to Bryan Park. We got a late start so it got dark fast, but we had fun nonetheless. Bobby got to ride in just the stroller like a big boy and was so sweet and good the whole time. He was too little to swing on the baby swings but he loved watching mommy and daddy do it. It was so cute because right around the same time a little boy (20 months his daddy said) came tottering up. Too little to even step up into the sand box. Then I thought to myself, my baby is going to be that big soon. It made me almost sad. Of course I want him to grow up big and strong and healthy, but just not so fast. It makes me want to never leave his side because in no time, he will have children of his own maybe even move far away like I did. Then what? Anyhow, I guess I just have to enjoy it while it lasts.

OOooooo. . . something new!
Alright so Bobby wowed me by sleeping well two nights ago, but he left a lot to be desired by last nights performance. I think he set a record for how many times he woke up last night. Ridiculous! But today he impressed both Jay and I by not only staying in his swing for more than five minutes but actually laughing and smiling for hours. It was so nice to see him happy other than when he is being held by someone. It gives me hope yet for actually doing something other than rocking him all day. Not that I am not grateful for such a blessing.

Sleeping Beauty
The most amazing thing happened last night- Bobby slept through the night! Yaaaay! It was so weird. I put him down at 11 o'clock and the next thing I know, Bobby is doing his squeak thing before he starts crying. As usual I check my cell phone to see what time it is and lo and behold it was 7 am! Then I fed him and he fell asleep for 4 more hours. It was like a dream come true. Ahh. . . . . sleep. I bet it was the busy day we had before of wining and dining with family and friends. Tootles for now. Here is a picture of his heiness waking from his slumber.

So long Phish : (
I have this brand spanking new fence as a gift to my family from my grand father in law and father in law. Hand built by five strapping men. The whole purpose of having a fence was to allow my dogs space to run and be away from the baby. This is a luxury much too good for them I can tell you that right now. They dug out in 45 minutes yesterday, so they were banished to their dog run all night and day. I am the guilty sort so I feel sorry for them and look out the window in the kitchen and make sure they are alive every now and then. For those of you who don't know- the dogs live in a nicer house than I do. So as I am looking out what do I see? Wilson, my greyhound retriever, standing on top of his dog house like snoopy, then he starts gnawing on the treated wood of the fence! Out I go to bring them in the house, because he has clearly learned his lesson, and what do I see, blood! It's dark out, white teeth, gooey nasty blood dripping from them. Don't worry he's fine. . . . . lucky for me, I guess. My only good pet 'phish', died the other day. I guess the good do die young. Hope that doesn't mean certain you know who's will live forever. That's their picture up there.

Babydom has arrived
It took roughly 4 hours or more for my friend and I to watch the Sex in the City movie. Originally she and I had seen it in theaters, just us. That was the old way. Bobby had other plans for making the evening fun, a little cry here, a boobie feed there, a big cry here, no nap there. So I am wondering to myself- When do babies start taking regular naps, rather, any naps at all? How does a parent keep the house clean? Not only does he not take naps but he wants to be thoroughly entertained the majority of his time awake. When Cameron (my friend) got here today I had her play with him just so that I could do some laundry and dishes. If he is not bouncing on daddies knee, watching fans spin, or rug shopping he cries and is just not able to hang with the cool people! So I ask this question. How did Miranda, being a single working lawyer in New York City, raise a child? Well ya got me. Thank god for entertainment- spin on fan, spin on.
